Song from the heart

Over 150 people attended the annual Côr Eifionydd christmas concert at Porthmadog church in December to raise £500 for the British Heart Foundation. This money will go a long way to help the BHF in its fight against heart and circulatory disease.  BHF volunteer Angharad Charles Jones attended the choir practice to receive the cheque from the choir conductor, Pat Jones and Amanda Owen (a member of the choir whose daughter recently suffered a heart problem).  Pat Jones said: 'The choir tries to support local charities every year with the  proceeds of our christmas concert.  This year we are particularly pleased to be able to support BHF after Amanda and her daughter's experiences recently.'
